Started working for my families business restocking supplies and occasionally cleaning vacant houses

Began working as a lifeguard and swim instructor for the city pool

Graduated High School, and got promoted to Assistant Manager at the city pool

Worked various jobs like Assistant Pool Manager, Barista, and Resident Assistant while completing my Associates in Business & Economics at Sierra College

2020 - 2023

Moved to Long Beach and worked as a private swim instructor and server to pay for my education

Graduated with my Bachelors in Business Marketing from the California State University of Long Beach

Started a career in sales with ADP

Growth

I’ve heard it said that we continue to make the same mistakes until we truly learn from them. Some of the greatest lessons I’ve learned have emerged from moments of agony. I’m not sure if that’s true for everyone, but for me, it’s a powerful emotion that makes every detail of the experience unforgettable. Learning from my experiences means adjusting my actions to align with my values. "The difference between a growth mindset and a fixed mindset lies in how individuals view their abilities, intelligence, and potential for personal development." I believe in exercising faith and intention towards growth in my life.

Intention

There is so much in life beyond our control. I’ve found a sense of strength and agency by focusing on my actions. Once I understood my values and began aiming to live in alignment with them, my days grew more fulfilling. I felt more satisfied with how I spent my time and what I accomplished. In my view, being intentional with your time is essential to living a meaningful life. IT'S THE ONE RESOURCE YOU WILL NEVER GET BACK. Think about how people react after making a poor financial investment… Now, fast-forward to the end of your life: would you be happy with how you're spending your time?

Humility

"Humility is not thinking less of yourself; it's thinking of yourself less." —C.S. Lewis. Aside from moments when I’m in a flow state of expression, embracing the grace of others is where I find my greatest love for life. Their humanity, laughter, and diversity fill my cup. Reflecting on some of my favorite memories, I can’t help but recognize the profound role my friends and family have played in my happiness. It’s humbling, and even embarrassing, to recall words I’ve spoken that undervalued their importance in my life. The people who have chosen to support me through my growth embody kindness, forgiveness, and empathy. I can’t fully express the depth of love and gratitude I feel for all of you. You’ve made my life not only bearable but truly memorable. You inspire those around you. From the bottom of my heart, thank you.

Comparison

I've heard that "comparison is the thief of joy," and part of me resonates with that. Yet, I’ve also experienced comparison as a powerful source of motivation. Recently, my 10-year-old cousin and I were talking, and he got caught up with comparisons. I told him, "You shouldn’t compare your chapter 10 to someone else’s chapter 24." Our innate ability to compare doesn’t have to be destructive. It’s natural to gauge ourselves by our perception of others’. However, it’s crucial not to let it undermine the value of our own identity, and our path in life.

Connection

As a little boy, I was as shy as they come, often hiding behind my mom’s legs in public places. Over time, I realized that connection comes easily to people with kind and open hearts. But then came a new epiphany, connecting with others is a choice. When I lost my passion for the life I was living, I found myself surrounded by people simply to avoid feeling alone. I invested time in their activities and conversations without genuinely connecting. To me, connection is about more than just passing time. It’s about engaging in life through shared passions and adored diversity of expression.

Expression

There have been times where I expressed myself in ways that didn’t align with my values. It was uncomfortable, and felt like an itchy jacket I didn't want to wear. I believe to a certain extent everyone goes through this passage of life. In order to attract the people who align with your values, it's important to express yourself in that manner. For me, that means being incredibly trustworthy, humorous, and adventurous; it also means owning up to your mistakes and accepting the consequences of your actions.

Passion

I’ve felt strong enthusiasm across many facets of my life. Yet, there was also a time when I lost sight of anything that truly excited me; when asked the question, "what do you like to do for fun," I was genuinely stumped. Nurturing passion requires a certain level of devotion to yourself. Engage in activities that make you excited to be alive. If you're not sure if you actually enjoy something, ask yourself: would I do this alone?

Identity

I have a good understanding of who I am today, but I see the process of understanding my "identity" as a lifelong journey. Over time, life will add new layers, and each novel experience will shape me into a new version of myself. Whether those experiences come as triumphs or tragedies, I have no way of knowing who I will be in the future. What I do know is who I am right now.
